GLS alumna Melody Hunter-Pillion was recently interviewed on WUNC's The State of Things with Frank Stasio. Melody, a 2012 GLS grad and currently a PhD candidate in Public History at NC State University, conducted oral histories of Black farmers and fishermen in Brunswick County for an audio documentary project she presented at the Black Communities Conference last week.
