To honor those students who received the Exemplary Master’s Project designation this year, GLS is holding a celebratory reception on Thursday, May 11th at 6pm in the East Duke Parlors. At this reception, the students will each give a brief presentation of their interesting and often innovative master’s project work. We hope the entire GLS community will join us.
The term “Exemplary Master’s Project” represents the highest standards in writing, presentation, method and research, original conclusions or synthesis. Projects are first nominated by the student’s supervisor; then, Kent Wicker and Donna Zapf read the nominations and make the final decision.
The six recipients of the Exemplary Master’s Project honor for the 2016-2017 academic year are:
Kavanah Anderson - “The Nature of Roads.” Supervisor: Jon Shaw, Biology
