Tuition aid for every GLS student is built into our basic pricing structure, which includes reduced tuition rates specially calibrated for our program. Additionally, students who are US citizens may study either full- or part-time, thus spreading costs over a longer period. Duke employees may be eligible to use their Employee Tuition Assistance benefit towards the costs of GLS. We also offer limited small merit-based tuition awards and research and professional development support to students at various points in their GLS careers.

Beyond GLS, student loans and other outside support, including employer assistance, may be available.  We recommend that you also consult the Graduate School website to research funding avenues that might be open to you.

Student Loans

Qualified students may apply for federal and private loans to finance part or all of their education. For a side-by-side comparison of federal and private loans and a list of recommended private lenders, see Loans for Professional and Graduate Students.
