Kalei Porter
I come to GLS at Duke from the worlds of data, dance, and ecology. My previous positions are varied and include Director of Digital Content at BroadStreet, Dance Teacher at ICE Studios and Tippi Toes, and an undergraduate student at Simmons University where I earned my B.S. in environmental science with minors in performing arts, economics, and biostatistics. I’m a Kansas City native, but I have also spent a lot of time in Boston and pursuing opportunities in other states and countries. When I decided to move to North Carolina, this was one of the only states I hadn’t been to! I’m adventurous, analytical, and imaginative and I am excited to put these traits to good use in the Liberal Studies program.
