Dear Duke Graduate Liberal Studies students, faculty, colleagues, and friends,
As we approach the festive season, we cordially invite you to join us for an evening of joy, laughter, and merriment at the GLS Holiday Party!
Join us on December 6th at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens to renew connections, forge friendships, and celebrate the season, life, learning, and the enriching connections within our intellectual community.

Warm regards,
Anne

New Spring Courses!

If you haven’t had a chance to explore North Carolina yet (or if you have and OMG North Carolina!), the new GLS course Biodiversity of the Southeastern U.S. is a wonderful opportunity for those with no prior science background to engage in scholarship on issues related to the land, environment, and climate change while exploring biodiversity through a series of field trips.
Three (3) weekend field trips include visits to the Coastal Plain, Piedmont, and Appalachian Mountains. Two will be day-trips, complemented by an overnight stay at Duke’s Marine Lab. Beyond usual tuition, there is no extra cost for this course; GLS will cover related travel expenses.
Find out more about this and other courses below.
