Documentary photographer Christopher Sims is an Associate Professor of the Practice at the Sanford School of Public Policy and Undergraduate Education Director at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. Support for Sims’ project was provided by the Center for Documentary Studies and the Carceral Imaginary Working Group at the Franklin Humanities Institute.
This talk is part of the exhibition Witness to Guantanamo, on view through February 27, 2022. The exhibit draws on the Witness to Guantanamo Video Collection in the Human Rights Archive at the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library and foregrounds the voices of the individuals whose lives were forever changed by their experience.
