GLS Biweekly Update October 27, 2022
The GLS House will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM for the remainder of the fall semester. Staff will alternate days in the office, so please reach out via email if you would like to meet with someone in particular, in person or virtually. We look forward to seeing you!

Toya Wallace's mixed media painting We Are One (The Human Genome) has been accepted into the 68th Annual Juried Art Exhibition.
The exhibit will run until December 3, 2022. Juror Lecture with Nell Fortune-Greeley on November 4, 2022, 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Located at the Durham Art Guild, located at 120 Morris St., Durham, NC 27701.
Exhibition reception November 18, 2022, 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Opportunities
Lancaster Commons Graduate Student Housing
You should have received information via email from both Off Campus & Community Housing and GLS. But, we want to make sure everyone knows about this student housing resource. Lancaster Commons is a subsidized off-campus apartment complex reserved entirely for Duke graduate and professional students.
- November 1 - The application will be live. Please check the Housing & Residence Life website and the Off-Campus & Community Housing website on November 1 for details on how to apply.
- November 15 - Priority deadline for the Spring 2023 application process.
Questions should go to offcampus@duke.edu (leases, roommates, move-in dates, pets, etc.) and lancaster@ticonproperties.com (floor plans, apartment details).

Friday, October 28 - Proposal submission deadline (for Spring projects)
